Dreams (chain writing)

          Tom was a normal chicken living a normal life. One day, he looked up the sky and thought, 'I wish I could fly....' He knew he could not fly because he was not a bird. He thought, 'I have wings, but I just can not fly!' as his anger came to him. One day, a worm name Jerry, was squirming down the big, gigantic hill.  Tom asked him, "What in the world are you doing??" Jerry replied," I am going to that forest over there at the end of the hill. "What??? YOU are going to the end of the hill with THAT SPEED??? Impossible! Hahahahahaha!" Tom laughed  so hard that his stomach hurts. Jerry said, "No matter what you say, I am going there."   For days and days he tried so hard to achieve his goals. Tom was very touched because of his efforts. After days and days, a voice shouted, "Hey I am here!! I told you I could make it!!!" Tom knew it was Jerry for sure.


         The next day, he determined that HE is going to achieve his goals. He tried to fly. He went to the top of the mountain and jumped . He swung his wings as hard as he could. "Ouch!" But, no luck for him-he could not fly. Tom was hurt but worked very hard to fly-just like Jerry did. He knew that chicken could not fly. It was a simple fact. However, a worm going to the end of the big hill seemed impossible but it was not for Jerry. So, he thought that it could seem possible for him too. He checked out books about flying, lift, birds and many. He made a sketch about how his wings should work when he is flying. He watched the birds fly. He watched it everyday, every second.




          After months of his great efforts...., Jerry heard a voice in the sky, "Look!!! I am up, up in the sky flying!!!I have achieved my goal!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!" Jerry knew it was Tom for sure and it was.
